Seneca Cluster Community Partnership

The SCCP was started a few years ago when a group of citizens became concerned with crime prevention in the Germantown area. These wonderful volunteers worked with the police and community leaders to learn how to effectively relate to the surrounding communities. They determined that we needed programs for youth as well as a way for members of these communities to get involved. Hence SCCP was born and is now a model of community based policing for the entire state. They raised funds to plan, finance and build the local police satellite facility on Clopper rd. These dedicated people instituted Open Gym Night at Clopper Mill Elementary school where kids can com and play one evening a week in a supervised safe atmosphere. Gym night is a great success with many kids and officers playing basketball together. SCCP also funds many community sponsored events and on community service day, they always have a worth while project that makes Germantown more livable for all.

We lost one of our founders and most dedicated of all SCCP volunteers, Gloria Carter, who started it all, she will be greatly missed.
